Last weekend UTC Bolton hosted its inaugural Summer Fair raising £1225.75 for Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The event was organised by the ‘UTC Helping Hands’ student team. Twenty eight local businesses attended the event including Candylicious, Arizona Joes and Waffle Inn. The student team put together an impressive range of traditional summer fun activities for families to enjoy including ‘hook a duck’, face painting , a bouncy castle and summer fun competitions.

Thank you to all the local businesses and North West Ambulance Service that supported our first Summer Fair and the UTC Helping Hands’ fundraising efforts. We had an amazing day! It is truly heart warming to see such wonderful community spirit from local businesses, staff, students and parents.”

I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone that attended our summer fair and a big thank you to the fire and ambulance service who did a fantastic job. We managed to raise an amazing £1225.75 which will all be 100% donated to Manchester Children’s Hospital. This wouldn’t have been as good as it was without the help of locals and our UTC Helping Hands team. It was a great day hope all enjoyed. –
