Students from UTC Bolton entertained attendees of the September Business Breakfast with street science and robots to celebrate a new partnership as patrons of Bolton Lads and Girls Club. Hosted by Assistant Principal Chris Beard and a group of students aged 14-19 students dazzled attendees with dry ice experiments and science table tricks.
Bolton Lads & Girls Club (BLGC) is a local charity and well patronised youth club situated in the heart of Bolton. The Club is open 7 days a week for 51 weeks a year and offers includes a wide variety of inclusive recreational, sporting, arts-based and targeted programmes.
Liam McDaid, Principal at the UTC Bolton, said: I am delighted that UTC Bolton has signed to become a Patron of Bolton Lads and Girls Club. Our aspirations to equip young people with both life, academic and employability skills are closely aligned. UTC Bolton exists to meet the demand of highly skilled professionals in the North West Region, we are looking forward to sharing UTC Bolton specialist resources with the members of BLCG.
